In Ayurveda, infertility is termed as Vandhyatva (वंध्यत्व). It is considered a condition where a couple is unable to conceive due to an imbalance of Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), Dhatus (especially Shukra/Rakta Dhatu), Agni, and Srotas (reproductive channels).

• Agnimandya (digestive fire impairment)
• Shukra Dushti / Artava Dushti (sperm/ovum abnormality)
• Avarana (obstruction in reproductive channels)
• Stress, improper lifestyle, suppressed natural urges
• Accumulation of toxins (Aama)
